**Title**: Manager, Public Health Reporting and Publication
**Salary**: $97,462 - $114,661 - $131,861 per year (pay range explained below)
**Contract**: Regular, Full Time
**Hours**: 37.5 Hours, Monday - Friday (core hours 9am - 3pm)
**Location**: Metro Vancouver: Park Royal Office - on the ancestral Coast Salish Territories of the Squamish, Musqueam & Tsleil-Wuatuth Nations - Hybrid working is an option (in line with FNHA’s flex work policy (minimum 50% in office).Please note, this role will be relocating to our new office building in North Vancouver on Tsleil-Waututh Nation (TWN) land, south of Mount Seymour Parkway, summer 2025.
**About the role**
The Reporting and Publication Manager works closely with the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) as their key support Manager providing support with the development of documents, presentations, briefing notes, etc. and proactively responding to enquiries and requests. In addition, the Reporting and Publication Manager collaborates on initiatives across the department, bringing with them advanced abilities in technical writing, health science data interpretation and knowledge translation, a strong understanding of Cultural Safety and Humility, and population health/public health.
**About you**
To be successful in this role you will have
- Education
- A degree, preferably in Health Science, Indigenous Health, and/or Public Health related or relevant combination of education and experience, a Master’s degree, preferably in public health is an asset.
Experience
- Five or more years of experience in public health, public service, not-for-profit, or other relevant field, demonstrating increasing responsibility overtime.
- Experience working with First Nations communities and leadership.
- Experience in report and publication writing. Experience writing manuscripts for publication is an asset.
Knowledge and Competencies
- Understands and respects First Nations cultural principles and protocols and applies this understanding in work situations.
- Ability to work independently and to take initiative to achieve outcomes with the highest degree of integrity and accountability.
- Ability to develop, plan, coordinate, and manage initiatives involving multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

The Pay Range is the minimum and maximum annual salary based on full time equivalent hours. Incumbents are typically hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the range based on their knowledge, skills, abilities and experience in relation to the role requirements. The top 10% of the pay range is for the incumbents who are industry experts in the job with the combination of exceptional experience and competencies needed to perform all duties and responsibilities at a superior capability level. Internal employee compensation will be determined as per the FNHA Employee Total Compensation Policy.
As a health and wellness organization, the FNHA has aligned with the Provincial Public Health Order released on October 14, 2021. We have a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy for all employees at First Nations Health Authority. This policy requires all employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. If selected for employment, you will be required to provide proof of vaccination by providing a copy of your BC Vaccination Card Passport with the QR code.
