With a team of more than 7,500 staff, physicians and volunteers, Niagara Health provides a full range of acute care hospital services to the 450,000 residents across the Niagara region. In addition to operating one of the busiest emergency medicine programs in Ontario, we have regional centres of excellence in mental health and addictions, as well as cancer, cardiac, kidney, children's health, and women's and babies care.
The Digital Communications Specialist's exceptional creativity, work ethic and time management skills will be key factors in success.
This is a permanent, full-time position in a hybrid work arrangement with one to two days at a hospital site in Niagara and the
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Completion of an undergraduate degree or diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution in graphic arts and design or related field.
- Minimum five years in a graphic design role, preferably in a healthcare or other large organization environment
- Strong understanding of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act standards for web and print design
Demonstrated experience in planning, designing and producing marketing materials
- Demonstrated experience in web design and editing (HTML, CSS and JavaScript)
- Demonstrated experience in content management systems
- Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint sites will be considered an asset
- Excellent critical thinking and problem management skills
- Solid interpersonal and relationship building skills, and the ability to work in a respectful, co-operative team setting
- Self-starter with the ability to work in a high-profile, time-sensitive environment and deal with competing priorities
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
- Proficiency in both official languages (English and French) will be considered an asset
