As the DEI Specialist, you will have the unique opportunity to contribute to the evolution of UAP's culture of belonging, while planning and deploying DEI initiatives that elevate the employee experience and promote diversity, equity and inclusion within our teams.
You will be leading projects and initiatives to ensure progress on our DEI journey, benefiting the organization and team members across Canada. You will identify opportunities and strategies within business units to create value and cultural engagement. You will develop programs and concrete actions to support our DEI Maturity Model progress, and support a variety of specific needs along that line. You will set new measure metrics and KPIs, so we can observe our progression and benchmark UAP against other similar organizations. In this role, you will partner with leaders, change management and communications experts, DEI working group, external vendors and key stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
**Qualifications**
To be successful in this role, you need:
- Experience in Human Resources with a minimum of 5 years of focus on DEI, corporate culture or belonging
- Bachelor’s degree in HR or similar professional field of expertise (asset)
- Strong consultation skills to lead and retain key recommendations from our various collaborative teams (DEI WG, BRGs, internal stakeholders and collaborators) to develop and deliver key related initiatives, aligned with our company’s values, and specific business unit needs
- Bilingualism in French and English, spoken and written, so that you are able to collaborate with all of our team members across Canada
- Ability to influence and educate others to gain buy-in and build knowledge and accountability.
