**Position Title**: Packer
**Location**: Edmonton, AB, T6B 2N9

**Job Type**: Full Time Permanent
**Position Summary**:
Reporting to the Production Manager, the Packer will be accountable for the proper packaging of protein products.
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Operate machines
- High attention to detail and quality control expectations
- Report problems with product and/or equipment to Supervisor immediately
- Uphold our safety standards and report any potential violations to supervisor or safety committee member
- Transfer products into appropriate vacuum bags and seal in Vacuum machine/Multivac Machine and/or insert package into box on tables as instructed by Supervisor
- Inspect packages for leaks
- Check packages for proper weight at frequency specified by Supervisor
- Make sure boxes are formed and labeled properly, (e.g.: Ensure that proper weights, description and production date is correct on each box)
- Clean machines and tools prior to end of shift and fulfill HACCP requirements
- Extra duties as assigned by manager
- Monday to Friday, day shift. Statutory holidays off.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Previous food processing experience an asset
- Must be comfortable with colder environments
- Able to lift boxes weighing up to 50 pounds or more
- Very good or better, written and verbal English skills
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work within deadlines
- Training provided
