Located on 70 acres of meadow, garden, and forestland in the heart of Salt Spring Island, The Salt Spring Centre School (SSCS) is celebrating its 40th anniversary of serving island families. We provide small class sizes where individual learning is child-centered, offering opportunities for exploration, cooperation, and confidence building.

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Principal to lead our beloved school into the next 40 years.

Along with a sound academic foundation, following the B.C. Ministry of Education curriculum guidelines, SSCS offers an enriched learning experience including Performing Arts, French, Music, Visual Art, Mindfulness, Yoga, and Gardening. We believe in educating the whole child and we also participate in excellent social-emotional programs, as well as providing opportunities for multi-grade learning and play.

Reporting to the board directors of the Ganges Educational Society, the Principal of SSCS oversees the academic and curricular program of students, as well as the well-being and performance of the faculty. This person is the face of and champion for, the School and actively contributes to shaping the culture, overseeing day-to-day operations, managing and leading staff, and building relationships with the students, parents, and guardians through loving authority, nurturing leadership, and leading by example.

**Formal requirements**:
B.C. Ministry of Education Teaching - Certification Proof of exemplary teaching qualifications and experience in education

Min. three years of experience in leadership roles
