Chevron Canada Limited has been active in Canada for more than 80 years, exploring for, developing, producing and marketing crude oil, natural gas and natural gas liquids. Chevron Canada Resources is actively seeking a Civil Coordinator to join our Facilities Engineering team. This position is based in Calgary, Alberta, and will report to the Facilities Execution Team Lead. The incumbent will be responsible for managing the technical aspects of earthworks construction activities for the Kaybob Duvernay field.

**Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to**:

- Managing scout/survey planning of all earthwork projects
- Lead the coordination of early phase activities for land/regulatory/environment for all earthworks projects
- Leading the design of earthworks projects; lease, access, bridges, water course crossings
- Support Civil Construction Contracting Plan and LIIP implementation
- Cost Control, benchmarking and forecasting
- Competitive Performance initiatives, evaluate processes and procedures, monitoring industry best practices and emerging trends
- Participate in the preparation of Project Execution Schedules
- Integrated Scheduling, interface with drilling completions, operations and facilities
- Participate in the Civil operational meetings as well as FET Operational Excellence Meetings
- Provide recommendations to improve and streamline operations and reduce costs
- Responsible for handover to execution for all earthworks projects
- Support procurement strategy and drive tactical schedule
- Provide technical support to the onsite construction supervisors
- Development area strategy and Surface alignment team member

**Required qualifications**:

- Environmental/Civil Technical diploma or Engineering degree
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- 5 - 10 years related experience
- Earthworks Construction knowledge would be considered an asset
- Strong knowledge of Earthworks quality control
- Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite, CAD, GIS
- Contracting planning and cost management
- Experience in upstream oil and gas
- Must have a methodical and well-organized approach to the work environment and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships within and outside the FE function.
- Self-motivated and able to influence and motivate others
- Experience working in a team environment, team player
