About the job Project Coordinator | Intermediate | CivilTitle: Intermediate Project CoordinatorLocation: Calgary, ABType: Full timeWe are an established, dynamic, and growing underground utilities and surface works contractor in search of an individual to fulfill the role of Intermediate Project Coordinator in our expanding Project Management Division.The Intermediate Project Coordinator is an integral member of the project team responsible for delivering various projects safely, on schedule, and on budget. Under the direction of the Project Manager, the Intermediate Project Coordinator is responsible for multiple aspects of the project cycle, including set-ups, quantity verification, organizing, and controlling project activities.The duties of the job include, but are not limited to:Attend client meetings and assist with the determination of project requirementsPrepare project preparation and closeout documents; communicate project directives to the operations teamAttend site meetings and distribute minutes to all project team membersTrack the progress and quality of work being performed by design disciplines/tradesPrepare project schedules in line with budgets and client expectationsEffectively and accurately communicate relevant project information to the client and project teamEnsure client needs are met in a timely and cost-effective mannerReview field inspection reports from consultants throughout the lifecycle of the projectAssist the Project Manager in reviewing contractor quotations to ensure only fair and reasonable pricing is recommendedTrack and manage contemplated change notices and change ordersPrepare substantial completion certificates and ensure all required project close-out documents are obtainedCommunicate ideas for improving company processesKeep the Project Manager and others informed about project status and any issues that may impact client relationsQualifications:A Degree or Diploma in Civil/Mechanical Engineering, Project/Construction Management, or relevant Trade & Field Experience is an asset2-3 years of experience supporting Project ManagersProficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Bluebeam, Explorer/Eclipse, and B2W software is an assetKnowledge of City of Calgary specifications and civil contracting practices is an assetEffective verbal, written, and presentation communication skillsProven ability to work effectively both independently and within a teamWillingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing prioritiesStrong multi-tasking and organizational skillsJob Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: From $70,000.00 per yearDental careExtended health careLife insuranceOn-site parkingPaid time offSchedule:10-hour shift8-hour shiftMonday to FridayEducation:AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)Experience:Civil Construction Project Management: 1 year (preferred)Civil Construction: 1 year (preferred)Project Coordination: 3 years (required) #J-18808-Ljbffr
