**Job Overview**

Richmond Property Ltd is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team in Guelph, Ontario. This diverse role is responsible for the daily operations and functions of a privately managed off-campus student housing property, located near the university of Guelph's main campus.
- Who are we?_ Canada's largest student housing provider for university and college students.
- Who are you?_ A flexible and detail oriented jack of all trades ready to work independently and tackle various responsibilities, from prepping apartments for occupancy to fixing plugged drains and dealing with outside contractors in the trades.

**Duties**
- Independently perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and facilities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor issues related to plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems.
- Contacting, scheduling and overseeing outside contractors as needed, ensuring high-quality results.
- Conduct regular preventative maintenance checks and document findings using property management software (Entrata).
- Provide leadership and supervision to junior maintenance staff.
- Deliver excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from staff or residents.
- Maintain knowledge to effectively address a variety of maintenance tasks.

**Experience**
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field with a sharp eye for detail.
- Strong experience with basic household repairs - drywall, minor carpentry, painting, the ability to use power tools in a safe and efficient manner.
- Familiarity with plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems and troubleshooting techniques.
- Previous supervisory experience is preferred, demonstrating leadership capabilities.
- Excellent command of English for effective communication with team members and clients.

**Requirements**:

- The position requires a flexible schedule including some evening and weekend hours (Full-time 40hrs/week. Typically, 8am-5pm Mon-Fri. On-call evening/weekends for emergencies)
- A valid G driver’s license (or equivalent)

**Compensation**:

- Base salary

Pay: $42,000.00-$54,000.00 per year
