**Overview**:*
*Key Responsibilities:*
- *Tandoori Cooking:* Prepare and cook a variety of tandoori dishes, including tandoori chicken, kebabs, naan, and other bread, using a traditional clay tandoor oven.
- *Recipe Development:* Create and refine recipes to enhance the restaurant's menu, ensuring the authenticity and quality of all tandoori dishes.
- *Ingredient Preparation:* Marinate meats and vegetables with the appropriate spices and seasonings, ensuring flavors are infused perfectly before cooking.
- *Tandoor Maintenance:* Properly operate and maintain the tandoor oven, including monitoring temperature, cleaning, and ensuring safety standards are met.
- *Kitchen Management:* Work closely with the head chef and kitchen staff to coordinate orders, manage inventory, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- *Quality Control:* Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality, presentation, and taste, consistently delivering excellent dining experiences.
- *Health and Safety:* Adhere to all health and safety regulations in food preparation and kitchen operations, ensuring a safe and hygienic working environment.
*Qualifications:*
- Proven experience as a Tandoori Chef in a reputable restaurant.
- In-depth knowledge of Indian spices, marinades, and tandoori cooking techniques.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, managing multiple orders simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to culinary excellence.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
*Preferred Qualifications:*
- Formal culinary training or certification in Indian cuisine.
- Experience in menu development and creation of signature tandoori dishes.
- Ability to train and mentor junior kitchen staff.
Pay: From $17.20 per hour
**Experience**:
