**What you will be doing**:

- Provides the public, and other interested individuals, information and assistance on related areas of enforcement including City by-laws and policies, Provincial Acts and regulations and other information as appropriate
- Issues tickets or fines for violations of City by-laws
- Support compliance communications and awareness campaigns
- Compile and maintain records, and accurately document activities for data input
- Assists with divisional programs as directed by the Supervisor
- Wears a City uniform and operates a marked City vehicle
- Position may take on additional duties or responsibilities as assigned

**Education**:
Actively pursuing a College Diploma or University Degree. Preference given to those enrolled in a Police Foundations or similar program.

**Experience and Knowledge**:

- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Valid Ontario G Driver’s License with a clean abstract
- Knowledge of City By-laws and relevant legislation
- Good organizational and time management skills to prioritize workload

**We will ask you for these items if you are hired**:

- Proof of current or future enrolment in post-secondary education.- Valid G driver's license.- Worker Health and Safety Awareness Training certificate from the Ministry of Labour. (may be obtained post offer)- Current and valid Police Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check to be provided prior to commencement in this position.**Your compensation**:
The hourly rate of pay, based on the inside workers union's co-op grid, has an hourly range of $18.16 to $25.14 per hour

**Hours of work**:
This placement is available from May 2025 to August 2025. Hours of work are Monday to Sunday, 35 hours per week as scheduled by the Supervisor.
