**The Opportunity**

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking **Shop Hand for a temporary, full-time summer position (June through August). The role is located in Olds, AB and consists of 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday.**This role is ideal for a student or individual looking to gain hands-on experience in a workshop or industrial setting. The Shop Hand will work closely with our Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic, Technicians and our Fleet Manager assisting with daily shop operations, including general maintenance, cleaning, organizing tools and materials, and supporting the team as needed.

**How you’ll spend your time**
- Assist with basic shop maintenance and cleaning tasks around the shop such as cleaning wash bays, pressure washing equipment etc.
- Assist with organizing tools, inventory, and general shop upkeep.
- General grounds maintenance such as cutting grass and ensuring the grounds are clean.
- Cleaning work areas, disposing of scrap materials, and maintaining a safe environment.
- Supporting tradespeople or technicians with setup, prep work, tire change overs and other manual tasks.
- Loading and unloading deliveries, moving materials, making parts runs.
- Other duties as assigned, including errands or minor repairs.

**Qualifications & Experience**
- Ability to perform physically demanding duties. Physical fitness is required with the ability to lift 50lbs or more, climb ladders, walk long distances, frequent bending and picking up objects off the ground etc.
- Ability to follow instructions and work safely.
- Take pride and accountability in your work.

- Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- Excellent communicator who works best in a team environment.
- Ability to adapt to change.
- Use problem solving skills while using good judgement.
- Mechanical aptitude is considered an asset.

**Position Requirements**
- Have a valid Class 5 Drivers License.
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Be able to lift 50 lbs and perform physical labour.
