Here are some of the opportunities that you’d take on:
- Preparing initial analyses for calls to tender for insured annuities and accumulation products
- Contributing to establishing mortality assumptions for the sector within the context of annuity purchase bids
- Calculating the underwriting level for calls to tender for insured annuities and accumulation products
- Contributing to developing underwriting strategies for calls to tender for insured annuities and accumulation products
- Collaborating with external actuarial consultants for calls to tender and sales of insured annuities
- Working in collaboration with the actuarial team (developing actuarial models, developing assumptions and more)
- Working in collaboration with various sectors in the company (investments, sales, administration, marketing).
**You got**:
- Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science
- Have completed the preliminary exams for the SOA and have an express interest in finishing your studies for the FCIA designation (an asset)
- Skilled communicator in French and English, especially in writing, for documents and requests in English as well as interactions with external English-speaking and French-speaking external partners across Canada
- Technical skills:
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access
- Proficiency with the following software/languages (an asset): AXIS, PowerBI, Visual Basic, SQL
