Program Manager

**Job Purpose/Mandate**:
Manages one or more small programs or a segment of a large program. Handles the tactical aspects of the program(s); A/R, material issues, PPV, credit, RMAs. Has slightly more interaction internally; works to resolve issues of planning, manufacturing, and shipping of products. Works on external issues and communication with the customer, but may not be the single point of contact for the customer. Partners with a Senior Program Manager for strategic and high-risk decisions. There may be additional guidance and mentoring provided to Associate Program Manager; exposure to Planning, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing. APM is learning the company processes and capabilities in order to understand the offerings for vertical integration of additional or alternative company products or services.

**Specific Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Working with Program Managers, manages one or more aspects of a program offering through final delivery of product.
- Works closely with Sales and with customer with a goal of customer satisfaction and future business opportunities.
- Ensures that customer expectations are met according to contractual agreements.
- Resolves escalated problems, and makes decisions regarding pricing, schedules, commit dates, etc.
- Ensuring that performance on key metrics meets or exceeds requirements, inclusive of inventory turns, Excess and Obsolete recovery, profit margins, revenue stability and growth, management of customer against contractual terms, on time delivery, quality performance, and accounts receivable collection.
- Ensuring that all information necessary to the customer is provided in a timely manner.
- Providing budget analysis, labour planning and coordination of activities between client and company personnel.
- Managing supply/demand plans to ensure all deliverables are coordinated to support on time delivery against Sanmina commitments.
- Coordinate and deliver quotations to sales organization and/or customers.
- Ensure execution against contractual requirements.
- Monitoring programs from initiation through delivery to meet revenue and cost projections.

**Knowledge and Skills**:
Generally requires a Bachelor's Degree in related field of work. Typically requires 0-2 years of related experience.

**Communication**
- Works with internal customers to address and resolve issues.
- Manages the client relationship and expectations to ensure customer satisfaction related to ongoing delivery of products and services.

**Customer Focus**
- Following up with customers to ensure their requests have been addressed.
- Working closely with customers on sensitive issues to rectify problems and improve level of customer satisfaction.

**Problem Solving**
- Investigating, identifying and escalating opportunities to improve the customer experience and revenue generation through quality, engineering and/or cost enhancements.

**Job specific skills**
- Strong working knowledge of complex manufacturing systems, assembly and test processes, schedules and scheduling requirements, and program management techniques and tools.
- Excellent customer contract, negotiation and problem resolution skills.
- Experience with critical path and dependency charts and flow charting.
- Strong knowledge of product pricing, quoting, contracts and contract negotiation.
- Excellent database management, computer and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to provide leadership and guidance to others.
- Proven successful track record in the following areas:

- Managing overall customer support for assigned accounts by leading cross-functional teams comprised of Buyers, Material Planners, Test, Manufacturing and Quality Engineers.

**Organization/Project Management**
- Working directly with strategic customers, plant management and internal customer-focused teams to develop and implement account strategies.
