**Position Summary**

**Job Structure**

This is a part-time hourly position. Work schedule includes weekends and holidays as required. Paid vacation accrual at 4%.

**Responsibilities**
- Greet customers courteously and provide knowledgeable assistance with deli selections.
- Slice, weigh, and package meats, cold cuts, and cheeses to customer specifications.
- Maintain proper product presentation and restock displays as needed.
- Operate deli slicers, scales, and wrapping equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ensure all deli products are fresh, properly labeled, and rotated according to “first in, first out” (FIFO) standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli case, prep areas, and equipment.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene guidelines (including proper glove use and temperature checks).
- Provide samples or recommendations to customers, highlighting product features or pairings.
- Assist in inventory control, including receiving, storing, and tracking stock levels.
- Work collaboratively with team members and management to ensure smooth operations.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous deli, grocery, or food service experience preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of meats, cheeses, and specialty products a plus.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Comfortable operating deli equipment safely (training provided).
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
- Availability for flexible scheduling, including weekends and holidays.

**Job Types**: Permanent, Part-time

Pay: $17.60 per hour
