**Job description**

Founded in 2006, Triple Eight Transport is an Asset based Carrier in Abbotsford, BC who is primarily focused on offering freight management services across North America with our own fleet of Reefer and Dry Vans.

Triple Eight Transport is looking for a safety-driven, energetic and customer service-oriented class 1 Local Company Driver and Owner operator.

The **Class 1 local Truck Driver** will be responsible for picking up / delivering in Edmonton and nearby areas. Deliveries can be directed to the store or full trailer load drops. Must do proper Pre -trip and post trip.

**SHIFT TIMINGS: Night Shifts**

**Responsibilities & Duties**
- A mixture of highway and inner-city driving
- Ensuring accuracy of all deliveries.
- Daily Pre-Trip Inspections
- Correctly loading and unloading 53ft trailers
- Provide excellent customer service
- Always operate the delivery truck in a safe manner, obeying all rules of the DOT
- Adjusting weight and excels
- Performing other tasks as assigned
- Working on ELD and workflow

**Required Experience and Skills**
- Previous experience with commercial delivery driving -: 2+ years
- Valid Class 1 driver's license with Airbrake certification.
- Excellent customer service skills, with a professional, outgoing and friendly personality
- Ability to work independently and with mínimal supervision
- Ability to learn new skills and processes quickly
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
- Reliable, punctual and available to work when required.
- Availability after hours and weekends when needed
