**Your Mission**:
The Communications Assistant plays a crucial role in shaping our corporate image, ensuring our business, values, and mission resonate with our audience. This role involves skillfully managing social media content, building meaningful relationships with the media, and actively contributing to the growth and enhancement of our brand. **Here’s what an ordinary day of work might look like**:
- Develop engaging digital content, including social media campaigns, web updates, news articles, and media releases.
- Keep the company website up to date with content that mirrors our mission, values, and growth, following SEO best practices.
- Prepare and distribute media releases, media kits, and other communication materials, serving as the primary contact for media inquiries.
- Drive engaging content for Convertus’ internal TV channel, fostering connection and communication within the organization.
- Create and refresh branding materials like presentations, brochures, ads, reports, and signage, ensuring they align with brand guidelines.
- Plan and take part in local and industry events, workshops, and programs to boost Convertus' presence.
- Manage general inquiries, ensuring accurate and timely responses by coordinating with various teams.
**This job is for you if**:
- You hold a post-secondary education in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
- You have 1-2 years of relevant experience in communications. Experience within the environmental sector would be considered an asset.
- You display excellent IT literacy with advanced skills in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
- You have a strong understanding of social media platforms, including but not limited to Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- You demonstrated the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- You hold a valid Driver's License.
