**Job Overview**
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Family Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to families in need, helping them navigate challenges and access resources. You will work closely with children and their families to promote well-being, strengthen family dynamics, and enhance overall quality of life. This position requires a strong commitment to fostering positive relationships and a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of those you serve.

**Responsibilities**
- Conduct assessments to identify the needs of families and children.
- Develop individualized support plans in collaboration with families.
- Provide guidance and resources to help families access community services.
- Facilitate communication between families and relevant agencies or organizations.
- Offer emotional support and encouragement to families during difficult times.
- Monitor progress and adjust support plans as necessary to ensure effectiveness.
- Maintain accurate records of interactions and services provided.
- Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities.
- Must be available to work evenings and weekends.
- Must have a valid class 5 drivers license.

**Skills**
- Experience working with children is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with families.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically in challenging situations.
- Empathy and understanding of diverse family dynamics and backgrounds.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple cases effectively.
- Knowledge or experience regarding Addictions is an asset
- Knowledge or experience regarding the Red Road is an asset.
