- How your role will add to the story
- The main responsibilities of the Regulatory Compliance Specialist (RCS) is to monitor upcoming regulations (ACTIVE, AMPS), put in place an action plan to support the transition to these regulations, and process notices to authorities. The mandate of this role is to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations. The RCS will steer system enhancements for MBC’s recall management system (R-CAAID) and other related systems. In this role, the RCS will have regular touchpoints with colleagues in Germany, the U.S., and many local teams. The RCS will also support the NM, legal and technical teams on matters related to accident and defect investigations opened by Transport Canada.
- A Day in the Life:
- Monitoring and report (on a quarterly basis) on recall campaign activity and support the field campaign team as necessary.
- Communicate with Federal, Provincial and Municipal representatives on regulatory matters as necessary
- Maintain R-CAAID system operation and ensure that the completion of sub-steps and document uploads have occurred for all campaigns.
- Support Senior Regulatory Compliance Specialist (SCRS) in the creation of notices to Federal regulatory bodies related to safety and emissions defects and non-compliances.
- Support SCRS in the campaign filing process within the R-CAAID system, specifically with all recall related documentation provided by MBAG and the Canadian authorities. Once completed, hand over to Field Campaigns team.
- Ensure recall VIN lookup tool remains functional on MB Canada’s national website and that regulated content is available.
- Review all upcoming ACTIVE information from Transport Canada.
- Perform an ACTIVE fit-gap both internally and with HQ in Germany to identify gaps, needed system and reporting enhancements, process changes, and more.
- Perform a risk assessment of AMPs and prioritize accordingly.
- Ensure efficient operation of local systems used to administer field campaigns (R-CAAID, NetStar VMI/Campaigns dashboard, RVL), identify areas of improvement and propose ideas for process optimization.
- Assess and flag areas of compliance risks that fall within the scope of the role.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient, accurate and compliant field campaign administration.

- Mercedes-Benz Fan skills, requirements & traits- Business Management Degree / Business Administration Degree
- 4 years of experience working in a similar role
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Excellent organizational skills, high attention to detail, communication skills, problem solving, process-oriented, highly driven to deliver outstanding customer service.
- Good understanding of legal topics and strong ability to work with regulations.
- Strong business acumen
- Fluency in German and/or French language an asset.
- Bold, innovative and enjoy challenging yourself
