**Quality Assurance Lead**

We are searching for a **Quality Assurance Lead**.

The Quality Lead will be responsible for supervising the Lab operations, overseeing procedures, documentation control, and the maintenance of lab equipment while ensuring adherence to good laboratory operating procedures.

Summary or Responsibilities:

- Main point of contact for all quality/lab-related inquiries
- Follows up on all inquiries
- Coordinates necessary efforts as related to SQF Program Follow-up: IR/CAR, risk assessments, verbal requests for direction, etc.
- Completion of quality aspects of New Product Notices, Product Change Notices as related to the New-to-Market process (includes label review for quality/food safety criteria)
- Notify departments of all quality concerns
- Manages and oversees all lab functions, including budgets, in-house testing, 3rd party testing, and approval of lab purchases.
- Ensures qualified personnel are scheduled, trained, and available for the QA tasks associated with Quality and Food Safety functions.
- Responsible for the creation and maintenance of quality documents:

- Product Masters, Finished Product Specifications
- Leads development/maintenance of quality program
- Coordinates directly with Supervisors to resolve concerns
- Organizes daily lab tasks
- Maintains work file to ensure all tasks are carried out in a timely manner
- Reviews SPC and Incident Reports daily for quality-related follow-up
- Leads/Aids in Customer Complaint investigations
- Oversees processes in support of new and existing customer food safety and quality initiatives.
- Maintain a detailed library of all formulations, test formulations, product variations and customer samples
- Follows all SQF (Safe Quality Food) and company policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School Graduation.
- Post-secondary education
- Requires an understanding of food manufacturing and food safety programs
- 5 years of experience in QA/Lab operations
