**About See The Worth**
See The Worth is a sustainable clothing brand and manufacturer in partnership with Goodwill Industries, Ontario Great Lakes and Fanshawe College. Our mission is to raise awareness about têxtile waste and other issues facing the fashion industry by designing and remanufacturing products out of end-of-use têxtiles. True to Goodwill’s mission, Worth supports individuals who face barriers to employment, training them to sew and remanufacture all while providing a living wage, safe work environment and more.
**Retail Experience & Digital Marketing Assistant**
The role of the Retail Experience & Digital Marketing Assistant (REDMA) is to provide a hands-on, customer friendly way for visitors to get to know the products, values, and story of Goodwill’s circularity initiative, See The Worth. As Goodwill looks to expand See The Worth in-person and virtually, the REDMA will help make a business case for this initiative by supporting and aiding in the continued development of See The Worth‘s pop-up shop experience, along with its social media presence, with the goal of driving traffic to See The Worth’s mission, in-person experiences and e-commerce platform.
**Role and Responsibilities**:
The Retail Experience & Digital Marketing Assistant (REDMA) will support the Business Development & Marketing Specialist for See The Worth in various aspects of the company's operations. The primary responsibilities of this position include:
- Assisting in the setup, unpacking, and arranging of products for the See The Worth pop-up shop experience, both indoor and outdoor around Southwestern Ontario.
- Engaging customers in meaningful conversations about See The Worth's values, message, and business practices.
- Processing customer payments, addressing customer complaints and inquiries, and assisting with the breakdown and packing up of events.
- Supporting inventory management.
- Assisting in content creation for See The Worth's social media platforms, with the goal of driving traffic to the company's eCommerce platform and pop ups.
- Collaborating with See The Worth’s Business Development and Marketing Specialist, Marketing Team, Design Team and other key stakeholders for certain marketing exercises/projects.
- Attending weekly meetings and participating in daily check-ins with the team.
- Working on-site, working at select retail locations for some on-site activities, and virtually via Microsoft Teams.
- Working on weekends as needed.
**Qualifications**
- Fields of study potentially include Business and Sales, Fashion, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Psychology, Sociology, Environmental Science etc.
- A demonstrated interest and knowledge of retail and sales, fashion, social media and sustainability
- Must possess a valid Ontario driver’s license and insurance or have reliable transportation as this is a largely mobile position that requires you to travel to and from events in Southwestern Ontario Travel costs will be reimbursed.
- Must be willing and able to work weekends and maintain a flexible work schedule that includes early mornings and late evenings.
- Strong organizational skills with strong attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize various tasks and projects.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Computer proficiency skills, including effective working skills of MS Word, Excel, and SharePoint.
- Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently.
- Able to work well under pressure and meet set deadlines.
- Able to lift objects up to 40 pounds.
- Able to work in a variety of outdoor spaces and environmental conditions around Southwestern Ontario.
