**Position Overview**:
As the Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for handling day-to-day accounting duties while working alongside our senior accounting team and Director of Sales. As the Bookkeeper, you will be directly reporting to the Director of Sales.
**About You**:
**Responsibilities**:
- Receive and reconcile payments from online sales accounts
- Make entries for refunds, reimbursements, delivery orders, shipping charges, replacements, claims, etc. in Quickbooks Desktop
- Reconcile bank accounts (Conduct a monthly reconciliation)
- Negotiating, constructing, and implementing payment plans
- Prepare purchase orders in QuickBooks Desktop
- Enter invoices, bills, and bill payments into QuickBooks Desktop
- Keep track of account payable and accounts receivable
- Payment collection from overdue invoices
- Assist with inventory management including verifying inventory counts and updating QuickBooks accordingly
- Check accuracy and validity of invoices and documentation
- Prepare reports for management as required
- Enter expenses in QuickBooks Desktop
- Work with the remote accounting team to ensure smooth accounting operations
- Organize and maintain paper and digital files
- Comply with local, provincial and federal government reporting requirements
- Follow accounting policies and procedures
**Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Requirements**:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Systems, especially Excel
- Knowledge of QuickBooks Desktop (not QuickBooks Online)
- Bonus if you have experience with QuickBooks Desktop Integrations
- Knowledge of accounting principles
- Knowledge of E-Commerce platforms, such as Shopify
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills
- Able to work independently
- Able to effectively multitask
**Working Conditions**:
- Office environment
- Sitting for prolonged periods of time
- Using the computer for prolonged periods of time
**Experience**:
- 1 year of Quickbooks Desktop experience minimum required
- 1 year Bookkeeping experience required
**Education**:
- Completed degree or diploma in business, accounting, financial management or similar required

- Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
