Technical Outside Sales Representative

**Position Overview**
Do you have technical / outside sales experience (preferably in a metal fabrication/manufacturing environment)? Are you familiar with CNC punching, laser machines and press brakes?
Amada, a global leader in the machine tool business, is currently seeking a Machine Sales Representative in British Columbia with outside B2B sales experience. Ideally with knowledge in the sheet metal manufacturing industry. Previous technical sales experience (ideally outside sales) is an asset but not required.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Promote the sales of machines and related products in the region.
- Achieve specific goals and targets by supporting and maintaining existing customer accounts, as well as developing new accounts.
- Interact with management and service personnel on customer issues.
- Assist with the preparation of technical sales quotes and documentation
- Attend training seminars on new products.
- Actively participate in company sponsored trade shows and events
- Travel requirement in the region may be up to 50% of the time throughout the year
- Travel may be occasionally required to the United States and/or to our Headquarters in Japan
**Qualifications**
- Possess excellent customer service skills
- Comfortable with cold calling and new customer development
- Strong work ethic, self-starter, resilient
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledgeable with Microsoft Office
- Valid driver’s license (class G) and passport

- Good knowledge and understanding of sheet metal fabrication process
