**Job Title: Part-Time Social Services Worker (20 hours per week)**

**Position Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide individual and group support to clients with brain injuries and their families.
- Conduct assessments to identify client needs and develop tailored care plans.
- Connect clients with community resources and services, including healthcare, rehabilitation, and social support programs.
- Provide advocacy and ensure clients’ voices are heard in decision-making processes.
- Assist in the creation and facilitation of educational programs and workshops for clients, families, and the community.
- Maintain confidential client records and case notes in compliance with organizational and legal standards.
- Work collaboratively with healthcare providers, community organizations, and other stakeholders to enhance client care.
- Conduct home visits and community outreach as needed within the Greater Fort Erie area.
- Assist with program development and contribute to the growth of the Brain Injury Association’s initiatives.

**Qualifications**:

- Social Service Worker (SSW), Developmental Services Worker (DSW) or a related field;
- Valid driver’s license and access to reliable, personal transportation.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant computer software.
- Knowledge of the Greater Fort Erie area and the available community resources a must.
- Previous experience working with individuals affected by brain injury or in a social work setting is preferred.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Empathy, patience, and a strong commitment to supporting individuals with brain injuries and their families.

**Additional Information**:

- This is a part-time, 20 hours per week position with a flexible schedule.
- Compensation commensurate with experience.
- Some evening or weekend hours may be required for specific programs or client needs.
- Must be able to attend home visits and community outreach activities in the Greater Fort Erie area.
- A current NRP Clearance certificate with vulnerable sector clearance dated within 3 months will also be required.
