**Position Summary**

The General Labourer, under the direction of the Plant Supervisor, will primarily be responsible for helping the machine operators and the loaders meet the demands of production and shipping. This position will assist with any material handling and crating duties required. This position will ensure high standards of workmanship and efficiency. Flexibility of shift is an important requirement for this position.

**Job Duties**
- Assist the machine operator with producing product
- Help on press brakes or shears in order to produce product
- Move finished product out to the packaging area
- Help pick screws or closure for next day
- Help the woodshop or packaging department if needed
- Help wrap up finished product
- Bundle completed product together and put it in boxes
- Manually move bundled product into skids for shipment
- Other duties as assigned.

- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Ability to lift heavy objects, walk, and stand for extended periods of time
- Demonstrated ability to operate material-handling equipment

- Commitment to Health and Safety
- Demonstrate good teamwork and time management

**Work Conditions**
- **Afternoon shift Monday to Friday from 6am-3pm**
- Use of required personal protective equipment
- Operation and use of necessary tools, machinery, or equipment
- Extended periods of standing, and other physically demanding conditions
- Lifting, moving, or manipulating objects up to 25 kilograms
