Dragados Canada, Inc., the Canadian construction arm of the ACS Group (one of the world’s largest international construction and engineering companies), is seeking a talented and experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join its dynamic and energetic team.

Dragados Canada was established in 2008 and has grown steadily into an industry leader in Canada, with offices in Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal, successfully performing a variety of large-scale transportation, bridge, dam, tunnel, and other major infrastructure projects.

**NOTE: This role is a 12-month contract position with the possibility to be extended.**

**Responsibilities**
- Control expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices
- Compare system reports to balances and reconcile processed work by verifying entries
- Analyze invoice/expense reports, record entries, and charge expenses to accounts and cost centers
- Monitor discount opportunities, organize and set up checks, and address purchase orders, contracts, invoices, or payment-related issues and documentation
- Ensure credit is received for outstanding memos
- Prepare paychecks to pay employees by receiving and certifying expense reports and advance request forms
- Maintain accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions
- Retain historical records through microfilming and archiving records
- Disburse petty cash by validating documents and documenting entries
- Preserve the value of the organization by maintaining the confidentiality of data
- Participate in learning opportunities to keep your job knowledge updated
- Achieve financial and organizational goals by fulfilling essential tasks

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree or College diploma in Accounting
- Up to 3 years of experience in a related field
- Experience in tracking budget expenses and performing data entry
- Ability to execute basic math operations
- Experience working with vendors and strong follow-up skills
- Proficient with MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Strong organizational abilities are required to meet many deadlines, prioritize and execute multiple activities, and close attention to detail
