Cowan Insurance Group is looking for a **Commercial Account Assistant** to join our Team
This role is reporting to the Team Leader, Commercial Insurance Programs. The **Commercial Account Assistant** is part of a team responsible for providing administrative support on new and renewal accounts in partnership with the Commercial Account Representatives to ensure client retention and timely customer service. You love the idea of working in a dynamic and fast paced**environment You’re a people person who enjoys building long-lasting relationships with various internal and external partners.
**What you will do**:
- Work closely with the team to provide support on policy changes, renewals, new business, proposals, follow ups, binders, slips, finance contracts, BDX, scanning and other duties and projects as assigned by Team Leader
- Maintain proper management of inbox and follow up queue, with special attention paid to timelines on preparation of liability slips, memorandums of insurance, certificates of insurance (timelines may change based on prioritization of requests)
- Support billing transactions and preparing invoices
- Action Renewal processing of specific lines within Programs
- Assist with Pre-Renewal preparation and report gathering
- Support with updating documentation in the Broker Management System (EPIC), and Ecommerce Software
- Prioritize work received from Commercial Account Representatives and Sales Consultant based on request type
- Support team members and train on all lines of business within each Programs segment
**What you will bring**:
- RIBO license or ability to obtain
- Post-secondary education or equivalent work experience
- Previous experience with Broker Management System (EPIC) would be an asset
- Exceptional organization skills with an ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Customer-centric, friendly and professional attitude
- Excellent computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products
- Strong problem-solving skills while demonstrating a responsive customer approach
- Ability to prioritize and manage time while working independently
- Strong attention to detail with a positive work attitude is essential
- CIP, CAIB, CRM (or working towards designation) would be an asset
