Manager, People Business Partner

Overview

The People and Capability (HR) team of Mastercard is looking for a Manager, People Business Partner to support the delivery of key people priorities for one of its successful acquisitions under the Security and Cyber Innovation organization, Ethoca.

Ethoca is the leading, global provider of collaboration-based technology that enables card issuers, ecommerce merchants and online businesses to increase card acceptance, stop more fraud, recover lost revenue and eliminate chargebacks from both fraud and customer service disputes.

This position reports into the VP People Business Partner and is based in Toronto.

Role

This individual will be responsible for managing and performing a wide range of P&C activities for the groups that they support. These include, but are not limited to:

- Management and delivery of core People and Capability (P&C) processes, including workforce planning, performance management, learning and development.
- Designing and executing key people engagement initiatives and programs.
- Partnering with the business and COEs to ensure we attract and retain the best talent.
- Serving as an advocate for employee development and growth for the people.
- Managing employee relations issues by providing guidance to employees and managers on problem resolution, aligned with legal and organizational policies and regulations
- Championing and driving change initiatives that support the business & people objectives
- Assist in the implementation of all People policies and processes ensuring that information is shared appropriately and timely with line managers and communicated to employees.

All About You
- Proven experience in business partner roles in fast paced, matrix environment is preferable.
- Strong relationship-building skills, enjoys a highly collaborative and team-oriented environment
- Experience coaching managers and managing employee relations
- Experience working with various HR systems and tools like Workday, Excel.
- Comfort in working across a spectrum of stakeholder groups at all levels and disciplines of the organization
- Strong written and verbal communications and the ability to cater messaging appropriately to specific audiences
