Quality Assurance Manager

**_MINIMUM 5 YEARS_** experience in a Quality Assurance supervisory or management position is required for any applicant to be considered for this position.
**Purpose and Scope**
The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for the effectiveness of the quality assurance program, statistical analysis, and continuous improvement at all Cancoil locations.
**Organization Relationship**
The Quality Assurance Manager reports to the Director of Operations.
**Responsibilities**
1. Supervises daily activities of Quality staff and collaborate with production operations to verify and maintain quality levels at all times.
2. Effectively train/mentor staff on the production floor to ensure that product meets all company, regulatory specifications, and quality standards.
3. Acts as a technical resource for manufacturing to ensure the best quality product is produced.
4. Trains production operators regarding compliance with legislative, ISO standards, and CTC standards.
5. Cooperates with operations and R&D to develop quality systems and implement same for sustainable results and continuous improvement.
6. Performs reviews of staff reporting directly to him/her.
7. Write, implement and review new policies and procedures.
8. Trains staff to be proficient in regulatory documentation and maintain all paperwork.
9. Develops, implements, and maintains customer specific quality plans as required.
10. Acts as a main CTC interface during customer quality representative reviews and visits.
11. Maintains the CTC ISO program.
12. Recommend continuous improvement initiatives and actions.
13. As part of the overall Quality Assurance Program, implement and maintain a statistical control system.
14. Analyze customer complaints; propose corrective actions.
15. Chairs the Material Review Board.
**Skills and Qualifications**
Education
College or University degree in Mechanical Technician or Mechanical Engineering;
Quality Assurance certificate
Experience
Minimum 5 years experience in a Quality Assurance supervisory or management position responsible for leading the Quality Assurance department;
Experience with ISO 9001, six sigma and lean manufacturing principles;
**Skills**:
Excellent leadership skills including building teams, leading projects and developing staff;
Complete in-depth knowledge of quality assurance strategies, including ISO 9001, six sigma and “LEAN”;
Excellent communication skills (with peers, staff and customer);
Ability to develop rapport with all clients to support the business objectives;
Required to be a change agent and to adapt and implement change within the organization;
Strong problem-solving, negotiation and analytical skills;
**Salary**: From $90,000.00 per year
