**Job Description: Human Resources/Office Administrator**
**Position Reports To: Head of Human Resources**
**Location: Lindsay, ON**

This is an exciting opportunity for an innovative Human Resources professional to display their knowledge and experience in a rapidly growing company. You will work in partnership with the Head of Human Resources, delivering superior client service through day-to-day HR duties, providing administrative support within HR and to the Executive Leaders. Presents a positive image to the public through thorough professional, cooperative, respectful, and consistent to the public.

**Responsibilities**:
Recruitment and Selection:

- Posting open positions, resume selection, scheduling interviews, conducting reference checks, drafting offer letters/contracts and new hire onboarding.

Performance management:

- Assist the HR Advisor in performance management.
- Assist in ensuring 30/60/90 day and annual performance reviews for all employees are completed on time.

Employee Relations:

- Acting as the first point of contact for employees within the business for human resources issues and questions, guiding them to the appropriate resources.
- Establish effective relationships at all levels based on trust, experience, and credibility by providing front-line HR consultation, advice, and guidance.
- Respond to employee requests, enquiries, and concerns in a timely and solution-orientation manner.

Compliance
- Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource requirements, maintaining records.
- Maintains historical human resource records by following the filing and retrieval system, keeping past and current records.
- Maintain employee files, including filing HR related documentation.

Office:

- Provides information, takes messages and schedules appointments as necessary.
- Responds appropriately to all callers (internal and external) and takes action to ensure that callers’ needs are met.
- Provides first line security at Reception area. Responsible for greeting and assisting all incoming guests including visitors, customers, vendors, employment applicants and the general public. Determines the nature and purpose of the visit and notifies appropriate company contact to escort the visitors. Records visitor’s arrival and departure.
- Schedules conference rooms, ordering lunches and assisting with other meeting requirements.
- Receives and distributes mail, packages and special deliveries and prepares shipping labels for outgoing couriers as required.
- Responsible for maintaining the appearance of the reception area by ensuring the area is neat and orderly.
- Ensure that office supplies and any company information (i.e. brochures, etc.) is restocked and presented in a professional manner.

Other:

- HRIS system, ensure all information is maintained, uploaded, etc.
- Conduct exit interviews and facilitate the off-boarding process.
- Provide clerical and administrative support to Human Resources and the CEO/Executive.
- Assist with other duties and projects as assigned.

**Required Knowledge and Skills**:

- Post-secondary degree/certificate program in Human Resources Management or Business Administration, or equivalent education and/or experience.
- 2+ years of proven work experience in human resources.
- Ability to build strong trusting relationships, coach/consult and mediate conflict, maintain confidentiality, strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of relevant provincial employment acts, such as the _Human Rights Code_ and the Ontario _Employment Standards Act, 2000._
- Ability to prioritizing and work with high level of initiative and self-motivation.
- Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and Ceridian.
