Directs food preparation and collaborates with Executive Chef. Produces high quality plates, including both design and taste. Assists with placing orders and inventory.
- **Responsibilities**:_
- Maintains performance management of staff
- Open/Close shifts - Ensuring all opening and/or closing duties are carried out
- Ensures appropriate health and safety standards and FOODSAFE practices
- Inventory management
- **Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:_
- 2 years kitchen experience is an asset
- Food Handlers certificate is an asset
- Proficient in health and safety rules and regulations
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to deal with high pressure environments

The Royal Hamilton Yacht Club is a beautiful location to work right on the lake. We harbor a positive work environment, a work-life balance and encourage culinary creativity whenever possible.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $17.00-$20.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Overtime
- Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Hamilton, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Cooking: 2 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent (preferred)

Work Location: One location
