Join our team today **The Opportunity** We are currently looking for you to take on the temporary role of a **Part-time/Casual**Production Team Member, based out of our Oshawa Assembly Plant. Your shifts may be scheduled on the weekend (Saturday and/or Sunday) and/or during the week to provide absence relief. Your work schedule may also vary on a weekly basis. Our plant is a 3-shift operation. **This is a temporary position.** As an integral part of the General Motors Oshawa Assembly team, you will be scheduled on a part-time casual basis to perform production assignments in our fast-paced vehicle manufacturing environment. You are motivated and self-disciplined team player who shares our core values: Customers, Relationships, Excellence and Seek Truth, and you are able to function in a manufacturing team environment where Global Manufacturing System (GMS) principles are highly integrated. **Please read the following requirements for the TPT Team Member position to ensure you are prepared to meet these expectations.** - Ability to work on a part-time casual basis providing absenteeism coverage. Shifts to be scheduled on a as required basis, with a primary focus on Mondays and Fridays. - Saturday shifts may also be required as part of the production overtime schedule. - Report for work on-time to support production startup and throughput goals. - An exemplary level of safety awareness and compliance. - Understand, support and execute all work in safe manner and comply with a culture that promotes safety as its overriding priority. - Ability to read, interpret and adhere to documents such as safety rules, standard operating procedures, work instructions, procedure manuals, and policies. **Interested individuals must meet the following minimum qualifications**: - Ability to work various shifts, including midnights - as required. - Must be able to satisfactorily complete the General Motors hiring process requirements which include a **comprehensive assessment and background check.** - At least 18 years of age. - Eligible to work in Canada. **Physical Demands of the Job**: - Perform bench, floor or conveyor assembly work, usually of short cycle duration, and involving standardized work elements. Must be able to comprehend and follow written work instructions.
