**About MTANS**

Established over 30 years ago, we are the only provincial association dedicated to supporting registered massage therapists in Nova Scotia. MTANS is a self governing, not-for-profit body that works to provide services for its members and promote the highest quality of massage therapy in Nova Scotia.

**About the Role**

The Member Services Representative plays an important role supporting MTANS members and ensuring the accuracy and accessibility of member data and files. Primary responsibilities include:

- Working collaboratively with other staff to update and maintain accurate member records.
- Assisting with member data migration, as needed.
- Record management and storage, including the digitization and archiving of files.
- Collaborating with other staff to update the onboarding package for new members, ensuring it is accessible and relevant.
- Assisting at member events, such as the Annual General Meeting.
- Supporting the work of the Member Services Committee, as needed.

The Member Services Representative also provides back up for the Office Coordinator in their absence and in times of peak activity. This involves:

- Regularly reviewing MTANS policies and procedures to provide accurate information and advice to current and prospective members.
- Maintaining relationships with external contacts.
- Communicating with members regarding compliance requirements.
- Assisting with accounts payable and invoice tracking.
- Updating website content.
- Providing administrative support, such as updating document templates, sending and receiving mail, etc.

**Working Conditions**
- Light physical tasks (e.g. lifting boxes of member files).
- Standing or sitting for periods of more than 1 hour.
- Regularly looking at screens (i.e. computer monitor)
- Occasional work outside of business hours to assist with in-person or virtual member events.

**Essential Qualifications & Skills**
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office programs.
- Minimum 1 year customer service or client support experience.
- Experience using databases and/or client relationship management software.

**Asset Qualifications ('nice to have' but not mandatory)**
- Experience with digital file storage and archiving.
- Post-secondary education (completed, or in progress) in office administration, library and information technology, or other related fields.

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 35 per week
