**About the Job**:
The P.E.A.C.E. program (Prevention, Education, Advocacy, Counselling, Empowerment) provides culturally sensitive, child-centered individual and group counselling for children and youth ages 3-18 who have witnessed and/or experienced family violence.
The PEACE coordinator ensures day-to-day delivery of the program is run in a professional and efficient manner with attention to confidentiality and in compliance with Atira Women’s Resource Society's (The Society's) policies and philosophy. The coordinator provides non-judgmental, feminist-based support, advocacy and information to women and their children who access the P.E.A.C.E. program and maintains strong working relationships with and awareness of complementary agencies and groups in the community. The coordinator must have specific knowledge regarding available community resources, private and government.

**Additional Requisites/Assets**:
- Degree in psychology or counselling OR Certified Facilitator in the PEACE Program is required.
- Minimum One (1) year Professional experience working with children and youth who have been impacted by trauma, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience, is required.
- Class 5 driver’s license and access to a vehicle with business class and $2,000,000 liability insurance, while on shift, is required. Proof of insurance is required.
- A clear CRRP criminal record check is required.
- A valid First Aid certificate is required.
- A valid Non-violent crisis intervention certificate is required.
- A valid Food Safe certificate is required.
- Early Childhood Educator License is an asset
- Special Education certificate an asset
- Experience working with children who have/are experiencing and or have witnessed violence and abuse is an asset
- Strong written and oral communication skills
