**Objective**
The Operations Support Role is responsible for the support of several operational functions and performance for the quarries and gravel pits in the region. They will be exposed to a variety of projects around the sites including (but not limited to): front end support (scaling of trucks), site cleanup/painting, technical projects, administration, and data analysis. A good overall performance could lead to larger technical roles in subsequent years.**Responsibilities**
- Relationships with Others Functions:
- Reports to the Plant Managers, Operations Managers and Operations Coordinator.
- Works closely with other Plant staff, Maintenance, Distribution, Quality, and Area Safety Staff
- Other:
- Perform other duties as assigned to assist in the efficient operation of the plant and site.
- Dependability:
- Follow instructions, work within a team setting, respond to Supervisor’s direction and communicate it with your team.
- Help to ensure crushing campaigns are completed safely within the forecasted times.
- Help organize and execute moving the crushing plant to new locations when crushing campaigns are complete.
- Have personal vehicle or other reliable transportation to be able to get yourself to site on time.

Safety Profile:
- Comply with OHSA and all of its applicable regulations.
- Wear all Personal Protective equipment as required.
- Strict compliance with Lafarge Canada safety rules, policies and procedures.
- Report all incidents, near misses and safety hazards to Supervisor.
- Emergency response plan awareness.

**Qualification Profile**
- Currently enrolled in a College or University program
- Knowledge & Skills:
- Good written and verbal communications
- Demonstrated time management and teamwork skills
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office, particularly MS Excel
- Possess full G class license and access to a vehicle
- Bilingual in English and French an asset
- Working Conditions and Physical Demands:
- Working outdoors and varied temperatures and weather conditions.
- Working indoors in varied conditions (i.e. hot, noisy, dusty).
- Mobility through all areas of the plant required, including stairs and ladders.
- Regular bending, kneeling, reaching and lifting less than 50 lbs.-
