Dansons is currently searching for an Equipment Operator - Forklift to join our warehouse team. This position will need to have extensive forklift experience, in many different environments, and spaces. This position will be reporting directly to the warehouse manager in Paris, ON.

**Job Objective(s)**:
Accurately pick and pack orders in a timely fashion, delivering quality products to the customer in the right quantity, to the right place, at the right time, in the right condition, and for the right cost.

**Job Responsibilities and Duties**:

- Pick and pack the correct product accurately.
- Have a 24 hour turn around on orders.
- Clearly communicate all fulfillment issues.
- Interpret pick tickets accurately.
- Assist in loading and unloading shipments.
- Assist in getting orders out in all areas of the warehouse.
- Keep pick levels stocked, communicate stock shortages.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Perform weekly cycle counts as directed.
- Keep warehouse organized.
- Operate all equipment safely.
- Be willing and able to fill in and assist in all areas of the warehouse.

- Positive attitude
- Strong communication skills, oral and written.
- Basic computer skills.
- Must be flexible and adaptable to changing environment and situations as business needs dictate.
- Strong organizational skills
- Great attention to detail.
- Must work both independently and as a team member.
- Must be punctual, with a good attendance record.
- Forklift Certified

**Physical Requirements (based on essential responsibilities.) Must be able to frequently perform tasks such as, but not limited to**:

- Ability to read and match numeric and alpha characters quickly and accurately.
- Stand for extended periods of time.
- Move, push, pull, and lift objects up to 70 lbs.
- Use hands and arms for simple grasping, pushing, and pulling.
- Perform tasks requiring actions of muscles or groups of muscles to walk, stoop, bend, lift, and carry objects.
- See objects closely to read directions, instructions, warnings, etc.
- Hear normal sounds and voices with some background noise to receive verbal instructions, communicate with others, etc.

**Environment**:
Work indoors in a warehouse environment much of the time.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

**Experience**:

- Forklift: 1 year (preferred)
- Warehouse: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)
