**Assistant, Facilities (Seasonal)**

**Full-Time, Fixed-term Contract (May - August)**

Our 10-acre campus provides modern facilities, as well as beautiful outdoor spaces and a daily connection to nature. As an integral member of the facilities team, you will be responsible for performing preventive and routine maintenance such as: general repairs, power washing, plumbing, painting and moving equipment, furniture and boxes.

This role is a fixed-term contract that runs from mid to late May to the end of August.

**Responsibilities**:

- General repairs
- Power washing
- Handle a variety of general building maintenance requests related to electrical, plumbing, painting and carpentry
- Conduct routine security checks throughout the shift
- Move equipment, furniture, boxes
- Assist with deliveries
- Assist with traffic control as required
- Assist with room setup and tear down involving the dismantling of equipment and furniture before and after events
- Provide after-hours ‘on call duty’ as required
- Performs other duties as required

**Qualifications**:

- Self-motivated team player with proven organizational and time management skills
- Proven ability to adapt quickly to varying assignments along with the flexibility to adjust to changing schedules as required
- Effective communicator with demonstrated high degree of accuracy and the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects
- Sound judgment and problem solving skills
- Knowledge of health & safety regulations an asset
- General knowledge of building operations such as HVAC, electrical, fire alarm, plumbing and control systems an asset
