Junior Accounting and Administrative Clerk

**Overview**
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Assist with daily accounting tasks, including invoicing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
- Use QuickBooks to enter transactions, reconcile accounts, and generate financial reports.
- Maintain organized and accurate financial and administrative records.
- Prepare and process invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
- Support the finance team with basic bookkeeping functions.
- Manage office supplies, handle mail, and perform general administrative tasks as needed.
- Coordinate with vendors and clients to ensure smooth financial and operational transactions.
- Assist in maintaining proper documentation and filing systems for both accounting and administrative purposes.
- Provide additional administrative support to the team, such as scheduling meetings and managing calendars.
- Take on any additional responsibilities assigned by the accounting/administrative department and adapt to changing priorities as needed.
**Qualifications**:
- Minimum 6 months of experience in an accounting or administrative role.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and a good understanding of accounting principles.
- Knowledge of basic invoicing, bookkeeping, and record-keeping.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Prior experience in a similar role within an office or financial environment.
- Familiarity with accounting software other than QuickBooks is a plus.
**Work Conditions**:
- Office-based role with occasional support tasks across different departments.
- May require some flexibility in working hours during busy periods.
**Contract Details**:
- This is a **3-month contractual position**, with the possibility of extension based on performance and business needs.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 - 30 per week

Schedule:
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Delta, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
