**Special Projects Coordinator, Youth & Volunteer Experience**

We are seeking a team-player responsible for supporting the integration of special project programming within Youth & Volunteer Experience programs. This will include providing support to volunteers and site coordinators to ensure they deploy related activities efficiently, and coordinating the work of project champion sites, and providing administrative support especially to ensure tracking, evaluation and reporting in this area of work.

**Requirements/Qualifications**
- Completion of a post-secondary education, preferably in a STEM, education or communications related discipline
- Two or more years of experience in an outreach, education or administrative role, either as staff or volunteer
- Comfort with technology and willingness to learn new software (e.g. Skype, webconferencing)
- Previous involvement with Let’s Talk Science and/or experience working with academic professionals, post-secondary students, educators and/or youth are strong assets
- Bilingualism (English and French) a strong asset
- Familiarity with remote, rural, inner-city, Indigenous and other minority communities an asset

Il s'agira notamment de fournir un soutien aux bénévoles et aux coordonnateurs et coordonnatrices de site afin de s'assurer qu'ils ou elles déploient efficacement les activités connexes, de coordonner le travail des sites champions du projet et de fournir un soutien administratif, notamment pour assurer le suivi, l'évaluation et l'établissement de rapports dans ce domaine de travail.

**Exigences et qualifications**:

- Formation postsecondaire, de préférence dans le domaine des STIM, de l’enseignement ou des communications
- Deux ans d’expérience ou plus dans le domaine de la sensibilisation, de l’enseignement ou de l’administration, en tant que bénévole, employé ou employée
- Aisance avec la technologie et volonté d’apprendre de nouveaux logiciels (p. ex., Skype, webconférences)
- Participation antérieure à des activités de Parlons sciences ou expérience dans le travail auprès de professionnels et professionnelles en milieu postsecondaire, d’étudiants et d’étudiantes postsecondaires, d’éducateurs ou d’éducatrices ou de jeunes (serait un important atout)
- Bilinguisme (français et anglais) serait un important atout
- Familiarité avec les régions éloignées, rurales, les centres-villes et les populations autochtones
