Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Statutory Audit Manager to coordinate and oversee statutory audits and statutory requirements across multiple jurisdictions. This role is critical in ensuring timely and accurate statutory filings and enhancing overall corporate governance.

The Statutory Audit Manager will be responsible for managing end-to-end audit processes across multiple legal entities and jurisdictions, working closely with external auditors, internal stakeholders, and third-party providers.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee statutory audits and filing requirements across various jurisdictions.
- Manage a team of 3-4 finance professionals, providing guidance and performance management.
- Manage statutory audits for multiple entities, ensuring timely completion and compliance with applicable accounting standards (IFRS, US GAAP, local GAAP) with assistance of local statutory accountants.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Finance, Tax, Legal, Treasury) and external auditors to support the audit.
- Coordinate audit timelines, data requests, deliverables, and statutory audit adjustments.
- Oversee UK statutory and component audits with support from a UK-based statutory accountant.
- Analyze and dig into accounting data to provide explanations as needed.
- Track global regulatory and statutory reporting requirements.
- Manage priorities for multiple assignments.
- Work with multiple International legal entities under different legal umbrellas and requirements.
- Support the consolidated audit process by coordinating corporate revenue testing and treasury related requirements.
- Monitor and support updates to internal controls.

Qualifications and Requirements
- Post-secondary degree in Accounting or Finance.
- CPA, CA, or equivalent professional accounting designation is required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in public accounting or 6+ years of progressive financial reporting/audit experience in a corporate environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS or US GAAP.
- Experience managing audits in multi-jurisdictional environment.
- Familiarity with financial reporting systems; SAP experience is an asset.
