Finance Coordinator

**DEPARTMENT**:Administration

**STATUS**: Full-time (40 hours/week)

**SALARY**

**JOB SUMMARY**

This position provides frontline financial coordination with the public, donors, staff and veterans. This role performs a wide variety of administrative and financial support activities on behalf of the leadership team of VTN. Serves as primary point of financial contact for internal and external constituencies. This role also supports the provision of office and staff support services to the office, and oversees and/or participates in the coordination, supervision, and completion of special projects and/or events.

**JOB DUTIES**

**1. Finance Related**
- Issue manual tax receipts when required
- Daily bookkeeping
- Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Audit Preparation
- Processing payments if necessary
- Payroll processing
- Assist in day-to-day management of banking arrangements
- Semi-annual GST/HST rebate filing
- T4A annual filing

**2. CRM**
- Data entry and clean-up and management of donor data
- Pulling reports

**3. Administration**
- Review funding Reviewing funding agreements, MOUs and contracts to ensure that funding restrictions and deliverables are assigned.
- Answering the phone and directing callers to the appropriate resource (backup for the Admin Coordinator)
- Renewal of insurance/business licenses (backup for Admin Coordinator)

**EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE**
- Basic certification in Bookkeeping or Accounting
- At least 2 years of experience in a relevant financial support role

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES**
- Bilingual (French and English) is an asset
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to self-motivate as well as work effectively as part of a team
- Working knowledge of CRMs
- Working knowledge of accounting terminology and procedures
- Working knowledge of Quickbooks Online
- Advanced skills with Microsoft 365 especially EXCEL
- Meticulous approach to financial and administrative tasks

**WORKING CONDITIONS**

The incumbent can work on a hybrid basis both remotely and onsite at the VTN head office at 470 Granville St.

Pay: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Vancouver, BC V6C 1V5
