Burnaby, Canada CVW CUSTOM VENEER WORKS INC Full time

We are a well established custom manufacturer of wood veneer sheets and high-end architectural plywood panels, seeking a full-time or part-time production worker. Our shop is located only a few minutes walk from Royal Oak Skytrain station in Burnaby.

**Responsibilities**:

- Grade and cut wood veneer using Double Knife Guillotines and End Clippers
- Mix adhesive and feed veneer bundles through Glue Applicator
- Set up and operate Crossfeed Splicer to produce specific sized veneer sheets
- Count and prepare crates of veneer faces for shipping, or for pressing in house.
- Reinforce edges with veneer tape and repair any splits or cracks
- Flush trim edges of core after pressing using hand router
- Assist with sanding the panels using a wide-belt sander.
- Maintain general cleanliness of the shop and machinery.
