Our total compensation package offers health, dental, EFAP, vision and life insurance. Base salary for Field Service Technician is $46.36-51.36 an hour.

**The role**:
Under the supervision of the Service Manager, the Field Service Technician will perform diagnoses and repairs in all areas of on-highway vehicles**.**

**Problem Solving -**80% of your time is spent here
- Maintenance and repairs in the field at customer sites
- Troubleshooting equipment issues
- Inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, overhaul and repair of various components of a variety of heavy-duty trucks equipped with diesel engines and automatic or manual transmissions

**Reports and Training**-**20% of your time is spent here
- Accurate and timely submission of reports and inspections
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures
- Keep close track of your time and document everything done to repair the problem
- Continuous upskilling and development through in-house training programs to advance employees in the latest technology in trucking as well as their career at New West

**Education/Certification**
- Journeyman Heavy Equipment Certificate

**Experience**
- Must have own tools
- Ability to understand and effectively use computer equipment including computers for diagnostics
- Must be able to work in a high-pressure environment safely
- Must be able to present yourself in a positive, professional manner to colleagues and customers
