We are looking to fill the opening of Purchaser on our team at one of Western Canada's most aggressive and growing group of companies.

Our group is comprised of retail and contractor building supply stores which are vertically integrated with our manufacturing division of 9 locations and growing We are a dynamic group of companies with potential to grow with us.

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to be part of our team at our Corporate Office in Sherwood Park, AB. The role of Purchaser will be responsible for the purchasing of inventory, distributing inventory into satellite locations, manage supplier relationships, ensure on time delivery of products, and negotiate with suppliers for favorable price, quality, delivery, and payment terms.

A combination of strong business and leadership skills are imperative for the success of this role.

In this role, you will make an impact in our company, with CONFIDENCE, by:

- Development and implementation of strategies for procuring, storing, distributing, and maintaining inventory.
- Analyze supplier capabilities, capacity, compliance, risks, etc. to ensure production continuity.
- Create and distribute reports (create, produce, alter and improve reports in excel with an above average skill set) pertaining to planned orders, shortages, schedule changes and inventory.
- Monitor business trends and product availability to optimize total landed costs without sacrificing quality or delivery times.
- Process PO Requisitions and place POs with qualified suppliers utilizing the latest pricing secured in our company database.
- Work closely with production teams in all locations to manage alignment of inventory required to satisfy manufacturing demands. Develop “production hot list” and prioritize supplier delivery.
- Process all receiving paperwork, matching PO’s to invoices for the payables department
