MME is growing, and we are looking to add great people to our team MME is currently seeking a **Purchaser** with experience in procurement for industrial electrical projects to join our team. Based in Sherwood Park, the Purchaser will be a key member of the team, ensuring the efficient and cost-effective procurement of materials and equipment to support our operations.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Source, negotiate, and purchase materials, tools, and equipment in alignment with project requirements and company standards.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing and timely deliveries.
- Ensure all procurement activities align with budget constraints and project timelines.
- Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors, and warehouse personnel to determine material needs and delivery schedules.
- Track and manage inventory levels, ensuring stock availability while minimizing excess.
- Prepare purchase orders, review supplier agreements, and verify invoices for accuracy.
- Research and evaluate new suppliers, products, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Resolve supplier issues, including delays, discrepancies, and quality concerns.
- Stay up to date with market trends, pricing fluctuations, and supply chain developments.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and generate reports for internal stakeholders.
**EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS**
- 1-3 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in industrial or construction sectors.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to establish cost-effective supplier relationships.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of electrical and instrumentation materials is an asset.
