Regina Housing provides appropriate and affordable housing to those most in need. We are currently looking for a FT Temporary Community Outreach Coordinator to join our Housing Program team.

**Purpose**:
To establish stability and support successful tenancies for at-risk tenants through proactive interventions during challenging situations. This involves effectively identifying needs, providing coaching and counseling, and addressing barriers to community integration, thereby fostering and maintaining tenant independence.

**Responsibilities**
- Identify tenant issues and behaviors that may jeopardize the tenancy.
- Engage appropriate resources to provide preventative support, through enhancing resilience and life skills to support long-term tenancy success.
- Develop and champion individualized plans, monitor progress, adjust strategies as needed, and serve as a liaison between tenants and service providers.
- Attend case meetings, and appointments alongside at-risk tenants as needed.
- Encourage and empower at-risk tenants to advocate for themselves, fostering their confidence and self-advocacy skills.
- Assist and support tenants in accessing available services that promote independence and enhance their overall well-being.
- Encourage and facilitate tenants' development of essential life skills, including home management and budgeting, acknowledging that effective tenancy is a learned experience.
- Plan and facilitate tenant programming.
- Analyze trends and provide evidence-based recommendations for policy development and strategic program planning.
- Contribute to the effective evaluation of the program to inform necessary revisions and enhancements based on identified trends and needs.

**Skills**
- Post secondary degree and/or diploma Social Work, Social Sciences or other relevant education or equivalent, combined with at least 2 years related experience
- Knowledge of CASW’s Code of Ethics, Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s Calls to Action
- Demonstrated experience with issue identification, diagnosing behavioral and psychosocial patterns, counselling, mediating, and effective problem resolution
- Sound knowledge of community based health, social and family service organizations
- Sufficient experience, knowledge and judgement to make difficult and high pressure decisions
- Ability to function with clear and professional boundaries
- Demonstrated ability to handle conflict, confidential information and deal with sensitive cases
- Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of stakeholders including those from diverse range of cultures, abilities, and socioeconomic backgrounds.

- Self-disciplined, can work independently and part of a team, collaborate, and problem solve
- Analyze trends, identify options and solutions, made recommendations
- Demonstrated ability to manage a large case load, meet deadlines, and work under pressure
- Demonstrated strength in risk assessment regarding safety of tenant, staff, and community and take decisive action to de-escalate crisis situations
- Ability to collaborate with others and work effectively in a team setting.
- Demonstrated ability to self-motivate, problem solve, and work efficiently under tight timelines.
- Valid Class 5 Drivers License and a reliable vehicle to be used for work purposes
- Able to work some flexible hours to accommodate the needs of tenants

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 16 months

Pay: $58,805.61-$64,259.43 per year
