Magil Construction in London, ON is searching for their next team member This is an exciting generalist role perfect for someone looking to make a career move in a growing industry.
- This is an in-person full time role working out of the London office with travel to the Mississauga office once every other week._

**Responsibilities**
- Support and guide the human resources team at the group level in the achievement of its strategic plan
- Provide human resources advice to senior management and managers of the various departments
- Understand and align human resources practices with the business objectives of the company and the parent company
- Participate in the development of human resources objectives for the company
- Lead human resources management projects and strategies, including professional development (including training), workforce planning and retention
- Collaborate on the compensation and evaluation process
- Responsible for the proper functioning of the various committees closely related to human resources
- Develop and maintain relationships with universities regarding internship programs and other industry relevant training centers
- Build and maintain relationships with all levels of employees

**Qualifications**
- Completion of post secondary school in Human Resources Manager or related field
- 5-8 years of progressive experience in an HR role
- Expertise in Ontario employment legislation
- Experience and confidence in all areas of Human Resources (a true generalist role)
- Experience and confidence coaching business leaders, managers, and employees on all areas of HR and employee relations
- Experience working with unionized and nonunionized employees
- Past success in change management
- Travel to each office is a requirement

**The Following qualifications are Considered an Asset**
- CHRP or CHRL designation
- Bilingualism in French and English
- Knowledge of BC employment legislation
- Experience in the construction industry
