The **Market Development Manager** is responsible for working with distributors and food service & industrial accounts in assigned territories for the purpose of developing sales to meet assigned targets.
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**

- Work closely with the GM to achieve the assigned sales target.
- Execute and monitor promotional activities within the A&P budget. Work with food services and industrial key accounts to promote the sale & usage of LKK products.
- Responsible for achieving company gross sales goals as well as gross margin targets for fiscal year plans.
- Develop and execute actionable annual key account management plans to achieve growth targets with existing customers, leveraging inside sales and broker network resources to retain and delight current customers.
- Responsible for the day to day management of key accounts and trade partners and distributors.
- Maximize store visits weekly and submit weekly visit reports along with store visit checklists.
- Maintain a strong CRM pipeline by building on current relationships and occasional cold calling.
- Provide fanatical customer service - always.
- Manage technical and fun side of our kitchen. How to cook, test products, and train others either in the customer’s location or at demonstrations. Ability to improvise where needed based on location or needs of the customer.
- Provide total account management and advocate on behalf of key accounts with a strategic sensibility, navigating both customer needs and brand goals.
- Develop and nurture strong customer contacts and positive, proactive relationships with key stakeholders, influencers, and wholesalers, including brokers and wholesale distributors on behalf of Lee Kum Kee, to deepen the relationship between the brand and customer as well as provide goodwill for potential new products or new accounts.
- Maintain knowledge of new and existing products and industry trends so that we can provide customers with recommendations, keeping LKK’s and customers best interest in mind, regarding strategies to grow their foodservice sales, whether through the use of LKK’s products or through operational guidance. Know the brand and be able to over deliver on needs.
- Operative to solve customer challenges, from new product set up to on-time deliveries.
- Collaborative, experience building relationships and working with colleagues across levels and functions, including those working remotely.
- Direct sales forecast activities and set performance goals accordingly.
- Review market analyses to determine customer needs.
- Execute various sales and marketing projects, including management and administrative duties.
- Initiate and execute strong monthly and quarterly objectives and plans for each state to drive new sales.
- Clear planning with actionable steps for achieving sales goals for broker network and all sales network.
- Management of professional schedule to incite sales, maintain existing relationships and continue growth of new client/customer relationships.
- Ability to lead and influence chefs for continued growth year over year.
- Drive clear collaborative communication of all objectives for assigned customers across and into the sales organization, ensuring execution excellence in all geographies.
- Develop, plan and execute sales initiatives that achieve delivery of planned volume, revenue and profit objectives. Work cross functionally to develop annual plans and strategies.
