**Position Summary**

The Program Supervisor plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of a Therapeutic Program, providing leadership and supervision to staff, managing schedules, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards. The Supervisor acts as a community liaison, ensuring effective communication with stakeholders, neighbors, and other service providers. This role requires a combination of administrative, supervisory, and hands-on support skills to create a stable and well-functioning care environment.

**This position is Monday-Friday, 40 hour/week, with occasional evenings/weekends as needed, and includes joining the Weekend On-Call Supervisor rotation.**

**Key Responsibilities**

**Program Supervision and Administration**
- Oversees the day-to-day operations of a Care Setting, provides ongoing supervision of staff and subcontractors, and evaluates program policies
- Ensures all reports, updates, time sheets and petty cash records are completed within deadlines
- Works with Clinical Team to ensure that they:

- Develop, implement and evaluate Care Setting goals, objectives, policies and procedures and ensures the required standards are maintained
- Identify both physical and program needs of the Care Setting to appropriate authority(ies). Plan with Service Provider Personnel and Subcontractors for changes.
- Maintains the Care Setting’s inventory of supplies
- Ensures the cleanliness, safety, security and maintenance of the Care Setting in accordance with applicable licensing standards either directly or through delegation to Service Provider Personnel and Subcontractors
- Assists senior management in preparing the annual operating budget and monitors, authorizes and allocates expenditures within the budget. Prepares and maintains related documentation.
- Ensures all contract deliverables are met, including service and financial targets
- Manages program operations to comply with internal and external requirements (facilities, IT, agency policies, CARF, health and safety standards, licensing, accreditation, and employment standards legislation
- Participates in weekend on-call rotation with appropriate compensation
- As required, works as an AYCW; appropriately delivering or enables strategies established in children’s, youth’s, and adult’s service plan
- Demonstrates strong professional verbal and written communication skills

**Workforce Planning and Team Management**
- In conjunction with Program Managers, determines and maintain staffing requirements to meet contractual obligations - minimizing overtime and maximizing staff consistency
- Schedules, supervises and evaluates staff and subcontractors and monitors daily operations
- Coordinates with Relief Manager to ensure casual staffing needs are requested and met
- Identifies high performers and proactively set plans to develop future senior workers and behaviour technicians
- Assists in recruiting and selecting of staff and subcontractors and provides guidance, training and orientation on policies, procedures, techniques, report preparation or other matters arising in the Care Setting
- Identifies the needs of staff and subcontractors for professional development and training
- Supports staff through regular check-ins and supervision to be equipped to carry out their duties effectively
- Facilitate regular team meetings
- Escalates and/or manages all grievances and WorkSafe claims to ensure proper reporting and documentation, and implementation of recommendations or action plans

**Qualifications**
- Education: Diploma in a related human/social service field.
- Experience: Minimum three years of recent related experience, including one year of supervisory or administrative experience (or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience).
- Specialized training in behavioural modification, trauma-informed care, attachment-based parenting, and relationship-based interventions.
- Strong knowledge of employment standards, health and safety regulations, and supervision principles.
- Certifications required: First Aid & CPR, CPI and/or MANDT certification (we will train those who require this)
- Must have access to a vehicle, hold a valid B.C. Class 5 Driver’s License, and have business insurance with $3,000,000 liability coverage.
