Desktop Support Technician/field Tech

As a Desktop Support Technician, you will be responsible for dealing with technical issues escalated from the helpdesk function and working with end user to troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity problems along with supporting the business on project-based requirements and IMACS.
**What you will be doing?**
- Respond to tickets escalated from the helpdesk and provide end user support around hardware, software, and connectivity.
- Provide root cause analysis on repeat incidents to provide permanent fix.
- Responsible for a broad scope of operational support, project-based requirements and install, move, add, and change (IMAC) requests.
- Carry out floor walking and proactive checks to ensure optimal availability of IT systems and devices.
- Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions.
- Collect and analyze performance data to provide technical assistance.
- Registering new devices on to the asset register, managing the asset lifecycle through to disposal and recycling.
**What are we looking for?**
- 3+ years of strong experience providing Desktop Support or Field Services which includes troubleshooting hardware, software, connectivity, and operating system issues
- Resolving issues without impacting / violating the hardware warranty or customer security compliance requirements.
- Good understanding of and experience with O365, SCCM, Skype, Teams, VPN, mobile devices, Active Directory, networking, and remote support tools.
- Basic knowledge of enterprise LAN and WAN setups and concepts.
- Ability to perform smart hand activity under instruction-based activities at sites.
- Experience of ticketing tools (ServiceNow / Remedy etc.)
- Ideally formal certification CompTIA A+ or MTA or other vendor certifications from OEMs (Dell, Toshiba, Lenovo, HP)
This role is working Monday to Friday - 5 days covering the hours of 8:00am to 17:00pm.
