**Job Summary**:
Tillicom Communications is looking for Linemen and Field Technicians. In this role the employee is responsible for the installation and setup of various telecommunication cables and support structures. The range of work varies from outside drop cabling, various support structures, fiber, coax, and cat6e cables in both aerial and underground infrastructures. Connecting customer networks, ONT and modem installation are some of the responsibilities of our technicians.

Your work will develop with experienced, ambitious, and enthusiastic groups committed to client satisfaction while always adhering to our fundamental safety standards.

**Requirements**:

- Must have a safe driving record and provide a recent driver abstract, (within past 6 months)
- Must have a minimum of a valid class 5 license
- Incorporating team safety dynamics in all your work environments
- Good communicator in both written and verbal communication
- Physical fitness is an asset in any environment
- Experience in all aspects of Telecom Line Construction is an asset
- Ability to travel within BC is an asset
- Skilled at climbing poles is an asset
- Computer and device skills are an asset
- Power Pre apprentices considered
- Availability to participate with On Call, after hours emergency callouts is an asset

**Qualifications**:

- Experience in the industry is an asset
- Confined spaces certificate an asset
- WHMIS and Power Awareness certification an asset
- First Aid is an asset
- Traffic control is an asset
- **Consideration will be given to Mid Term Power Line Apprentices or Pre-Apprentices that have successfully completed a pre apprenticeship course through an accredited facility.**

**Responsibilities**:

- Placement of aerial and supporting infrastructures.
- Aerial and underground placing of fiber, copper, coax cables.
- Knowledge of the TELUS TOPPS documentation an asset
- Work in conjunction with other professional teams from other industries
- Able to work in confined spaces
- Comfortable climbing poles to 30 feet in height

Part-time hours: 40 per week

**Job Types**: Full-time

Initial Wages: $18.00-$25.00 per hour, experience based
